How to Deal with Whiteflies in Your Garden Without Losing Your Mind

Whiteflies are small, moth-like insects that hang out on the undersides of leaves. When disturbed, they fly up in clouds. They suck plant juices, weaken growth, and leave behind sticky honeydew that attracts mold and ants. If ignored, they can wreck your garden pretty quickly.

Prevention is your best bet. Use yellow sticky traps to catch adult whiteflies early. Companion planting with marigolds, basil, or nasturtiums helps keep them away. Also, don't overcrowd plants—give them space and airflow. A healthy garden is your first line of defense.
