Everbearing strawberries produce two to three smaller harvests during the season, ideal for steady picking. Day-neutral types fruit continuously from spring to fall if conditions are right. Choose varieties suited to your climate and space. For containers, smaller varieties like Alpine strawberries work well. Proper variety selection ensures a tasty, plentiful strawberry harvest.

Use large pots with well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Plant strawberries so the crown is just above the soil surface for best growth.

Water consistently to keep soil moist, and feed with a balanced fertilizer every few weeks. Remove runners to encourage bigger fruit production.
