Robot Takes Care Of The Plant On Its Head

It’s amazing how humans compare to plants and animals, when a robot takes the wheel you’ll see, we weren’t always considered the geniuses we now are. There was a time when humans were also like animals. Why wouldn’t we be? We were doing the same things as they were.

Our food was raw. We were covered in dirt. There was a time when we even hunted our kind.

But as soon as humans discovered fire, the series of technological advancements started taking place. It wasn’t long before humans were completely separated from other animals.

Before we knew it, we were already deemed to be superior to animals and plants due to our intellectual capacity.

Technology isn’t exclusive to humans alone. Out of all the creatures on this planet, we were the only ones who discovered it. We were the only ones smart enough to have taken advantage of it.

No matter how much we try to lift our pedigree, at some point, we need to admit that all of this only became possible through the help of technology.

If we didn’t discover fire and other forms of technology, we might still look like apes right now.

But have you ever considered what might happen if plants could have gotten the help of technology to change their lives?

For most of us, the idea that plants or even animals could use technology the same way humans do is nothing but a myth.

But one robot scientist and entrepreneur surely thought it was possible. Sun Tianqi enabled his company Vincross to create a six-legged robot that’s supposed to take care of the plant sitting on its head.

The robot looks nothing more than a cyber crab with a plant on its head. It takes care of the plant in the simplest ways.

Sun made the robot in a way that it can sense the needs of the plant. For instance, the robot knows when the plant needs sunshine. When the robot gets the signal, it will walk towards the sunlight. When the plant has already had sufficient light, the robot retreats to shade.

The robot can’t water the plant on its own, that’s for sure. The robot doesn’t have a mind of its own yet. But whenever the robot feels the plants are in need of water, it will just do its stompy dance. This is the signal that the plant needs to be watered. In this respect, the owner would do the watering himself.

Sounds pretty cool, huh?

The Power Of Technology

But this invention isn’t just about moving plants. It’s about the power of technology. It’s about what technology can do.

The invention stresses how remarkable technology can be, and less on the intelligence of humans.

It goes to show that with the help of technology, anything can be possible.

Sun aims to enlighten people about the relationship between life and technology.

The idea stems from the fact that plants are among the most passive creatures in the planet. You can do anything to it. You can take care of it, transfer it to another soil, you can even pluck it out if you want. It still won’t have any protestations.

But with the help of Sun’s robot, the plant can go any direction it wants.

Aside from that, the plant can also interact. When the robot isn’t giving sunshine to the plant, it can play with humans. You only need to touch it in the head.

This is just the beginning of what technology can do for plants. In the long run, who knows? Maybe we can even find a way to communicate with plants directly. Maybe they are not as passive as everyone first thought.
